We are so proud to announce that for the second straight year, we’ve made the Inc. 5000 List! We even moved up over 1000 spots from last year, landing at number 2,725. Despite the unprecedented year that 2020 was, we were able to continue to serve Wichita, Kansas City, and Denver with our roofing services, helping us grow and landing us a spot on this prestigious list. So what exactly is the Inc. 5000? Well, back in 1982, Inc. introduced the Inc. 500, which expanded to 5000 in 2007, to showcase the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. Companies like Pandora, 7 Eleven, Microsoft, and Patagonia all got their first national exposure on the list, which ranks companies based on their overall revenue growth over a 3-year period.
There are a few requirements that had to be met in order to be considered for the Inc. 5000. First of all, companies have to be privately held, for profit, based in the U.S., and independent. The next requirement was to have generated revenue by March 31, 2017, and that revenue needed to total at least $100,000 by the end of 2017. And because the list is a measure of how much growth companies had in revenue, we needed to generate at least $2,000,000 in revenue in 2020.
After that, it was just a measurement of who grew the most during that time, and we were fortunate enough to grow enough to land a spot on the List! The average median three-year growth rate of the 5,000 companies on the List was 543%, for a median revenue of $11,100,000 and more than 610,000 jobs created over the past 3 years.
