Project Description

This expansive project required 160000 square feet of shingles, 1.100 lineal feet of 2x8 fascia replacement, and 12,000 lineal feet of 6" gutters / 3x4 downspouts on 37 buildings The roof systems installed exceed local standards, therefore we were able to offer the industry leading CertainTeed SureStart S-Star extended warranty PS-year manufacturer labor guarantee).

Scope of Work

We removed the existing 30-year shingles and multiple layers of underlayment, and installed new CertainTeed Landmark Moire Black color lirnrted lifetime roof systems on 37 buildings with ice and water barrier underlayment at all leak prone areas. new custom chimney flashings, Lornanco Deck-Air intake vents at eaves, CertainTeed ridge vent, new step and headwall flashings, Lifetime Tool Ultimate Pipe Boots, and high profile ridge cap. In order to accommodate the needs of the 103 owner occupants and HOA board, we employed a full time on-site project foreman to ensure quality, resolve issues, and answer questions and concerns as the work progressed.

Challenge

Some of the challenges that we overcame included: Removing and replacing the roof systems to meet the CertainTeed 5-Star extended warranty (best in the industry) standard, managing relationships and expectations with 103 owner occupants and the actively involved homeowners association board, supervising multiple subcontracted crews, and negotiating a fair and equitable settlement with the insurance carrier for the scope of work performed.
