Project Description

The Granada School was in need of our roofing contractor services due to significant hail damage on the existing roof. When choosing a roofing contractor to complete work on their building, the Granada School chose Farha because of our proven experience in similar projects and a gleaming referral from the Lamar School District Superintendent.

Scope of Work

A full replacement was required, but as work got underway, our roofing team was hit with a curveball and discovered a re-deck was required as well. The original deck was deteriorating gypsum and our team had to remove the entire deck and replace it with a steel deck, before installing the new roof system. A full taper system using a 60 ML EDPM rubber roofing membrane was chosen for the 125,000 square foot job.

Challenge

Because of the deck discovery, the timeline was extremely demanding. We began the roof on June 1st and were able to complete it by early August, allowing school to be set up and in service as scheduled. The project required 3 different crews, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week just to get the job done on time.
