Project Description
This commercial roofing project focused on the full replacement of an aging EPDM roof on a busy strip mall. Originally showing only minor damage upon our first inspection, the roof sustained more severe damage months later during a major hail and tornado storm. As a result of our thorough documentation and assessment during both inspections, we were able to work closely with the property owner and insurance provider to secure full roof replacement coverage. The new system, a Versico TPO roof, was designed to increase weather resistance and long-term performance.Scope of Work
The existing EPDM roof was completely removed to expose underlying structural issues caused by water leaks. Our team replaced several sections of damaged decking to restore full integrity to the roof system. Once repairs were made, two layers of 2.6" ISO insulation and a 1/2" Securock cover board were installed, as well as a mechanically fastened membrane. The updated system significantly enhances the building's ability to withstand future weather events and everyday wear and tear.Challenge
Timing and storm response played a major role in this project. The roof was initially only lightly damaged, but following the spring storm, it was totaled.
